IN PLENTY

Lately there has been much publicization of (but not necessarily attention to) scarcity (under the guise of efficiency) and enmity (expressed as a concern with security).  Terms that have in common, which has a lot do with their stirring of fear and anxiety, the capacity to make us accept as necessary what is usually seeing as unacceptable violations and violences. Looking at the New York City-based chart for this New Moon at 7’47” Taurus (I kept wondering about what this ubiquity of these two terms, in disguise, would or could have to do with the theme unfolding since late January, with the New Moon in Aquarius, which was the start of the Chinese Year of the Wood Snake, and its association with the imaginative, creative, transformative, which also include the unwelcome or the troublesome: Is it that, as Pluto stirs Aquarian things up,  these hidden terms (scarcity and enmity) will finally become exposed, and we will finally have the chance to examine precisely how they have been acting in our personal and social lives, in ways that make them more difficult than they need to be? Or is it that, as they come to the fore, as Saturn moving deeply below forces a come to terms with the surface level water structures, it turns out that enmity and scarcity are so entrenched, consolidated in the very societal (emotional and inspirational) bonds that it is not possible to even consider the possibility of making sense of our existence without their mediation?

Though this New Moon in Taurus does not answer these questions, which combine into one and the same conundrum, it gives us a lot to unpack and, in doing so, deal (away) with it. Taking place in the sign associated with material and ethical foundations --  both of them considered in terms of inheritance, as what is given, instead of what is created or achieved -- this moment of reviewing and renewing is occasioned by the coincidence of the sign (Sun) that grasps what one sees oneself (as unlike everything else) with the one (Moon) that tells what one feels (when with everyone else); and, as such it might just give us (to all of us) a sense of how we already fully exist with everything else, that is, in plenty. At the same time, this New Moon registers the difficulties and dangers that accompany Pluto’s unrests, but it does not in less subtle waters of the latter ‘natural’ house, 8th house. In doing so, it renders expose all that is troublesome and must remain buried in the depths, if the social (emotional and inspirational) bound are to hold. This tracks the theme unfolding this year, which started with the image of the radical transformation of societal ideals as a disturbed waterscape (New Moon and Pluto in Aquarius), followed by the underground waters structures of a 6th house New Moon in Pisces and deeply troubling waters of a 12th house New Moon in Aries. Heated up by Aries on the cusp of the 8th house and the squares with Mars and Pluto, this New Moon in Taurus traces the transformation of societal ideals occurring at the level of what can be called emotional bonds, which should be imaged as particle (electrical) and molecule (chemical) bonds which, as we know, respond to pressure and temperature conditions. That this is happening on the 8th house just confirms what we already know which is that that which embodies the kind of bonds which correspond to the ideals undergoing transformation (Pluto in Aquarius) are under the risk of complete annihilation (Squares with Mars and Pluto). At the same time, it happens in a moment when Neptune (0’59” Aries) and Saturn (27’31” Pisces), both in the 7th house, seem to out of place in their own peculiar ways: Saturn busy learning how to build the water intrastructures cannot count on the support of watery Neptune leading Aries’ initiating impulse.

Precisely in this, however, lies the openings hidden in the depths of the complex deep waterscape the current situation seems to be expressing. It could then, be the case that, as Pluto stirs Aquarian things up, these hidden terms (scarcity and enmity) are finally becoming exposed. This means that all that is transpiring is but the result of how the Squares with Pluto and Mars, as well as the Opposition involving these two planets are facilitating a breaking up of societal ideals at the molecule or even particle level, that is, at the level of our sensibility. The ubiquity of enmity and scarcity would just be a moment in the process of excising them from our imagination, as we at once see and feel what results from their operation in our personal and social existence. That Mars is doing this in Leo on the 11th house suggest that their visibility as principles of social existence to which we respond emotionally as well as intellectually, has a purging effect. It could, however, be the case that as they come to the fore with Venus (at home in the 7th house of relationships)  in Pisces  where it is conjunct with Neptune definitely not at home in Aires – seeing and feeling get bogged down in muddy waters suffused with the anxiety and fear, which seem to be prevailing at the molar level of social relationships. Put differently, that which has been cultivated precisely by deployments of images of enmity and scarcity may now be precisely what makes it impossible to break of the particles and molecules of the societal bonds they have created and still maintain. We see so much scarcity, feel so much enmity that we miss the simple, sensible reality that it is all unfolding in the plenty.

Em abundância

Ultimamente, tem havido muita divulgação da (mas não necessariamente atenção a) escassez (sob o pretexto de eficiência) e inimizade (expressa como uma preocupação com a segurança).  Termos que têm em comum, que tem muito a ver com uma animação do medo e da ansiedade, o que geralmente nos leva a aceitar como necessário o que comumente é visto como uma violação ou violência inaceitável. Olhando para o mapa (baseado na cidade de Nova York) para esta Lua Nova em 7'47" Touro fiquei me perguntando sobre o que essa onipresença desses dois termos, disfarçados, teria ou poderia ter a ver com o tema que se desenrola desde o final de janeiro, com a Lua Nova em Aquário, que foi o início do Ano Chinês da Serpente de Madeira,  e sua associação com o imaginativo, criativo, transformativo, que também inclui o indesejável ou o problemático: Será que, à medida que Plutão agita as coisas aquarianas, esses termos ocultos (escassez e inimizade) finalmente serão expostos, e finalmente teremos a chance de examinar precisamente como eles têm agido em nossas vidas pessoais e sociais,  de maneiras que os tornam mais difíceis do que precisam ser? Ou será que, à medida que vêm à tona, à medida que Saturno, se movendo profundamente abaixo força a chegar a um acordo com as estruturas de água no nível da superfície, verifica-se que a inimizade e a escassez estão tão arraigadas, consolidadas nos próprios laços sociais (emocionais e inspiradores) que não é possível sequer considerar a possibilidade de dar sentido à nossa existência sem sua mediação?

Embora esta Lua Nova em Touro não responda a essas perguntas, que se combinam em um único e mesmo enigma, ela nos dá muito o que descompactar e, ao fazê-lo, lidar (acabar) com ela. Ocorrendo no signo associado a fundamentos materiais e éticos - ambos considerados em termos de herança, como o que é dado, em vez do que é criado ou alcançado - esse momento de revisão e renovação é ocasionado pela coincidência do signo (Sol) que apreende o que se vê (como diferente de tudo) com o (Lua) que diz o que se sente (quando com todos os outros); e, como tal, pode apenas dar uma noção de como já existimos plenamente com todo o resto, ou seja, em abundância. Ao mesmo tempo, esta Lua Nova registra as dificuldades e perigos que acompanham as inquietações de Plutão, nas águas menos sutis desta última casa 'natural', a 8ª casa. Ao fazer isso, expõe tudo o que é problemático e deve permanecer enterrado nas profundezas, se o vínculo social (emocional e inspirador) for mantido. Isso acompanha o tema que se desenrola este ano, que começou com a imagem da transformação radical dos ideais sociais como uma paisagem aquática perturbada (Lua Nova e Plutão em Aquário), seguida pelas estruturas de águas subterrâneas de uma Lua Nova na 6ª casa em Peixes e águas profundamente preocupantes de uma Lua Nova na 12ª casa em Áries. Aquecida por Áries na cúspide da 8ª casa e nas quadraturas com Marte e Plutão, esta Lua Nova em Touro traça a transformação dos ideais sociais que ocorrem no nível do que pode ser chamado de laços emocionais, que devem ser imaginados como ligações de partículas (elétricas) e moléculas (químicas) que, como sabemos, respondem a condições de pressão e temperatura. O fato de isso estar acontecendo na 8ª casa apenas confirma o que já sabemos, que aquilo que incorpora o tipo de vínculos que correspondem aos ideais em transformação (Plutão em Aquário) corre o risco de aniquilação completa (Quadratura com Marte e Plutão). Ao mesmo tempo, isso acontece em um momento em que Netuno (0'59" de Áries) e Saturno (27'31" de Peixes), ambos na 7ª casa, parecem deslocados de maneiras peculiares: Saturno, ocupado aprendendo a construir as intraestruturas da água, não pode contar com o apoio do aquoso Netuno, liderando o impulso iniciador de Áries.

Precisamente nisso, no entanto, estão as aberturas escondidas nas profundezas da complexa paisagem aquática subterranea que a situação atual parece estar expressando. Pode ser que, à medida que Plutão agite as coisas aquarianas, esses termos ocultos (escassez e inimizade) estejam finalmente sendo expostos. Isso significa que tudo o que está acontecendo é apenas o resultado de como as quadraturas com Plutão e Marte, bem como a oposição envolvendo esses dois planetas, estão facilitando a quebra dos ideais sociais no nível da molécula ou mesmo da partícula, isto é, no nível de nossa sensibilidade. A onipresença da inimizade e da escassez seria apenas um momento no processo de eliminá-las de nossa imaginação, à medida que vemos e sentimos imediatamente o que resulta de sua operação em nossa existência pessoal e social. O fato de Marte estar fazendo isso em Leão na casa 11 sugere que sua visibilidade como princípios de existência social aos quais respondemos emocional e intelectualmente, tem um efeito de purgação. Pode, no entanto, ser o caso de que, à medida que eles vêm à tona com Vênus (em casa na 7ª casa dos relacionamentos) em Peixes, onde está em conjunção com Netuno, definitivamente não se sentem em casa em Aires – o ver-e-sentir fica atolado em águas lamacentas impregnadas de ansiedade e medo, que parecem estar prevalecendo no nível molar das relações sociais. Dito de outra forma, o que foi cultivado precisamente por implantações de imagens de inimizade e escassez pode agora ser precisamente o que torna impossível quebrar as partículas e moléculas dos laços sociais que elas criaram e ainda mantêm. Vemos tanta escassez, sentimos tanta inimizade que perdemos a realidade simples e sensata de que tudo está se desenrolando na abundância.
